We were happy to participate in the Sustainability Forum 2025 in Athens on 3 October, which was organised by SOFTONE GLOBAL SUSTAIN, a market leader in services related to sustainability, responsible investing and the green economy.
DRAKOPOULOS partner Michalis Kosmopoulos delivered a keynote speech titled ‘AI and Sustainability: A Double-Edged Sword”, in which he explored how AI can both drive and hinder progress across the triple bottom line: People, Planet, and Profit.
Highlighting the spectrum from opportunities such as climate modelling and precision agriculture to challenges like bias, e-waste and cybersecurity risks, Michalis emphasised the importance of effective governance, with the EU AI Act at the forefront of ensuring trustworthy, human-centric AI.
The event featured presentations and panels by leading speakers, sustainability experts from international organisations, and C-level executives from various business sectors.
At Drakopoulos we recognise that ESG and AI are deeply interconnected, and that responsible AI governance is becoming a cornerstone of sustainable business. By embedding ESG principles in their use of AI, companies can drive innovation while safeguarding long-term value and resilience.
