The company holds a strong position at the global tobacco industry for over 113 years. Our business was founded in September 1902 and today is one of the world’s biggest tobacco groups, while it employs more than 57,000 people, and has a portfolio with more than 200 brands distributed in more than 200 markets. 

In Greece, British American Tobacco Hellas S.A. was established on November 20th 1999 following the merger of the companies British American Tobacco Ltd and Rothmans Distribution S.A. On July 2nd 2008, British American Tobacco Hellas and Scandinavian Tobacco Hellas joined forces following the acquisition of the cigarette business Skandinavisk Tobakskompagni A/S (“ST”) at an international level. 

British American Tobacco Hellas, with approximately 100 employees, is today one of the leaders of the Greek tobacco industry, an employer with high distinctions and innovative practices, consistent in its commitment to bringing value every day to Greek society. The company’s brand portfolio includes cigarettes Prince, Peter Stuyvesant, Lucky Strike, Pall Mall, Dunhill, Rothmans, Kent as well as the tobacco products for roll-your-own Craven & Lucky Strike. 

Actively supporting the Greek economy, British American Tobacco invests in Greece millions every year in Greek tobacco producers and suppliers, supports thousands of tobacco retailers and distributors all over Greece and has a significant contribution in taxes to the Greek state. 

The employees of the company play an important role in the presence and future of British American Tobacco Hellas, while have established it as one of the Best Workplaces in Greece for four years in total (2011-2012-2013-2015) and have placed it amongst the Top Employers in Greece and Europe (2014 - 2015).
