Startup Safary Athens: Three women lead this year’s Startup Safary Athens

The third Startup Safary Athens is expected with great enthusiasm and it takes place on the 18th till the 20th of November, 2016, in multiple venues within the city.
For a third consecutive year, this successful event opens the doors of entrepreneurship support spaces and startup companies and offers original workshops, interesting seminars, inspirational lectures, career days, guided tours into the “depths” of startups, helpful presentations and vibrant networking events.
The event this year is part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week and once again the interest and support of the entrepreneurial world is great. The following companies have confirmed their participation and we are expecting their programs: The Egg-Corallia, Found.ation, Orange Grove, VIEW, ASHOKA, the AEPHORIA, the incubator-accelerator VIVA Nest, The People’s Trust, Corallia, (TOGME) Development Sector Managers women HMA, the platform Living Postcards, the humanistic education of JMK with John Kalogerakis, the company YOLENIS which is preparing a series of actions in its new space in Kolonaki and many others that will be announced in the coming days as the program is dynamic and is being formed this minute.
The previous two events have been very successful as over 5,000 people participated with festive mood, while business adventures, initiatives and the presenations that were put forward exceeded the 180.
This year’s event is dedicated to female entrepreneurship and will cover issues around social entrepreneurship, fintech and the Internet of Things.
The curators and ambassadors of this year’s event are three very dynamic and charismatic women:
Eleftheria Zourou, CEO of Doctor Any Time will curate the women entrepreneurs program, Christina Fili, spokesman of the ASHOKA organization in Greece, curates the social entrepreneurship program, and Maria Leontiou, Head of Innovation Centre of Eurobank, who is in charge of the Fintech program.
StartupSafary Athens has already successfully performed in Berlin, where it started from, and 7 more European cities. Athens was the first international franchise that adopted this institution since 2014 and organizes the largest event attendance in Europe after Berlin.
