Today, private businesses, public sector agencies and their employees are facing a difficult period, due to cost-cutting pressures that entail restructuring their structures and inevitably lead to labor conflicts and job loss. The Insurance, Social Security and Labor Affairs Committee of the Chamber, aiming at building harmonious labor relation, responding to the challenges faced by the labor market today and in order to help employers and employees to manage changes in labor relations, are organizing this workshop whereby crucial issues will be discussed in depth.
Indicative topics to be discussed at the workshop are:
- Techniques to prevent or minimize labor conflicts
- Ways of mediating and managing individual or collective conflicts
- Ensure optional arbitration procedures
- Ensure mandatory arbitration procedures
- Negotiations and partnerships between employers ‘and employees’ organizations
Workshop participants (representatives from the business sector and agencies) will be able to choose the topic they want and express their views divided into 5 different brainstorming groups.
The purpose of the seminar is to understand the way in which the institution of mediation in our country is implemented, the benefits that have emerged from its exploitation, as well as to present good practices from Greece and abroad that have been adopted in the extrajudicial way dealing with personal and corporate disputes.
