In Athens, a visit was carried out to the “Earth Center”, along with environmental activities for adults and children, in collaboration with “Organization Earth” (www.organizationearth.org). Specifically, the Volunteers participated in various actions, such as weeding, olive grove cleaning, transplantation to other arable areas and a collective kitchen, while the children took part in an educational environmental action.
In Thessaloniki, environmental actions intended for adults and children were carried out at the American Farm School premises (www.afs.edu.gr/). Specifically, the Volunteers participated in an activity pertaining to the biological cultivation of aromatic plants. The children also participated in an educational activity, in the context of which they were offered a guided tour and obtained information about the Vineyard, the Olive Grove, the Winery and the Dairy Farm. At the end of the tour they reached the cooking room, where they prepared a meal aided by the American Farm School staff.
