Piraeus Bank enters into an agreement with Berliner Sparkasse, a branch of Landesbank Berlin

Piraeus Bank has entered into a frame credit agreement with Berliner Sparkasse, a branch of Landesbank Berlin AG, in order to extend Export Credit Agency – covered credits towards Greek companies, that are in business collaboration with German enterprises in the greater Berlin area.

As part of Piraeus Bank’s commitment to support Greek entrepreneurship, the bank will finance in cooperation with Berliner Sparkasse under competitive terms, a number of investments across a wide range of industries, including Renewable Energy Sources and large infrastructure projects.

Mr. Athanasios Vlachopoulos, Deputy General Manager, Corporate and Investment Banking at Piraeus Bank commented: “The agreement will contribute decisively to the enhancement of Greek entrepreneurship, cross border trade and provides the roadmap to sustainable development. This initiative is at the forefront of Piraeus Bank’s strategy to act as a pillar of stability for the Greek economy. The expansion of international trade relations is an important tool for solidifying the role of Greek banks and enterprises within the global economy”.
