The Hellenic Association of Treasurers (HAT) was founded in December 2020 with the aim to support an active and continuously growing community of Treasurers in Greece and abroad. Today, it succeeded to be the main professional Association of Greek Professionals of Treasury, investing in the geographical diversity of its members (70% Greece and 30% from abroad), with 126 members from 11 countries, of different experience, expertise, and organizations (including large and medium size, public, state and private entities).

The main activities of the Association include:

For the operation of the Association, and based on the modern requirements and needs of the market, 5 working groups have been formed with a specific subject and actions which are:

• • Cash Management and Treasury Infrastructure
• • Corporate Finance and Risk Management
• • Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
• • Blockchain and Crypto Treasury Management
• • Brain and Business Gain

In particular, the ESG Working Group, which consists currently of 9 members, has as its priority to inform the members of the Association for the:

• • ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) criteria and their application in Businesses
• • “Green” market financing tools and ESG Ratings which, among other things, contribute to alignment with the vision of the European Green Deal to achieve climate neutrality by 2050
• • Manner to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, as outlined in the document signed in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly

The Hellenic Association of Treasurers (HAT) has the mission to inform, support and educate all key stakeholders in the private and public sector about best practices and the importance of Treasury.

The promotion of the added value / importance of Treasury, in small and large enterprises, as the part in which all financial risks are concentrated and managed in a professional way, protecting businesses from existing and future risks.
