Marios Zacharos, Junior ESG Consultant

Marios Zacharos is an ESG Consultant and GRI Certified Professional at Global Sustain, holding a degree in Chemistry from the University of Crete and a master’s degree in “Bioeconomy, Circular Economy, and Sustainable Development” from the University of Piraeus. He has worked as an analyst of food, water, and raw materials in a laboratory before starting his postgraduate studies. During his career, he has actively participated in a wide range of consulting projects for companies in Greece and Europe, in collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). He participates in consulting projects such as the development of ESG Strategies and digital ESG tools, Benchmarking Analysis, Materiality Assessment, ESG Supply Chain Assessment, Stakeholder Engagement Plan, ESG Branding & Communication, ESG Action Plans, Sustainability Reports according to ESRS, VSME, GRI, SDGs, CSRD, and EU Taxonomy Alignment & Report for organizations operating in sectors such as Finance, F&B, Retail & e-Commerce, Printing & Packaging, Healthcare, Logistics, Media, Property Management, Metals, Manufacturing, and IT.
