Sofia Gialama, Certified Climate Risk Professional, Climate Change & Sustainability Advisory

Sofia Gialama is a Senior ESG Consultant and Head of the Advisory Department at Global Sustain. She is responsible for advisory projects in EMEA, APAC and the USA. She is also a Climate Risk Professional certified by the Chartered Banker Institute (UK). Sofia manages projects in sustainable finance, ESG due diligence, ESG integration in governance, strategy, risk management and reporting. As a former Team Leader at the Governance and Accountability Institute (G&A) based in New York, she has practical experience in ESG data analysis of companies operating in the USA, UK, and Ireland. Furthermore, as a former EU Projects Consultant at the Region of Crete (regional government authority), she has significant experience in EU projects implementation on Green Economy, Blue Growth, Circular Economy, and Nature-Based Solutions. Her project experience includes working with multinationals, large corporations as well as small and medium sized enterprises in more than 22 countries across Europe, Caucasus, Asia, North Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.
