HYGEIA : Honors the International Women’s Day. Standing together for a world free from prejudice and discrimination.

HYGEIA, a member of the Hellenic Healthcare Group, the largest healthcare provider in Greece, is honoring the International Women’s Day with a series of actions that aim to spread the #BreakTheBias message, a global message that promotes a world of equal opportunities, free from prejudice, stereotypes and discrimination.

The actions are in the form of social initiatives, aspiring for HYGEIA to continue standing by society, not just as an observer, but as an integral part of it.

Initially HYGEIA offered financial aid to the National Center for Social Solidarity (EKKA), and specifically the program that supports abused women. The program provides women with psychosocial support, counseling and short-term accommodation at protected hospitality facilities.

In addition, it actively supported the event organized by the Hellenic Sports Federation for Persons with Disabilities, under the auspices of Η.Ε. the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, on Female Athletes, offering financial aid and a free-of-charge comprehensive healthcare package to all the event participants.

Furthermore, a token action was organized at HYGEIA, where employees and visitors had the chance to be photographed forming an X with their arms, the symbol of this year’s #BreakTheBias message for the International Women’s Day.
