The program took place in the new multifunctional space Epikentro in Athens
AB Vassilopoulos, shows once again its responsiblity towards future generations, supporting ActionAid`s summer camp for primary school students.
The summer school’s activities took place in Epikentro, a new multifunctional space created by ActionAid in the Municipality of Athens, in order to provide free programs and services to our fellow citizens affected by the crisis. The summer school included experiential educational programs, theater and art workshops as well as many other activities for a creative and fun summer in the city. The program was addressed to children living in conditions of economic and social exclusion, aiming to reinforce them.
AB Vassilopoulos, during the six weeks of the program, covered the children’s nutrition needs. The products given, were selected with the support of Prolepsis Institute, one of the company`s long term alies in DIAtrofi program (AB Vassilopoulos through this program provides daily healthy meals to students of 52 schools all over Greece). In this way, healthy breakfast, brunch and lunch were offered daily to the children who participated.
In the context of the support of the ActionAid program by AB Vassilopoulos, speeches concerning healthy eating were held. With the courtesy of the Proplesis Institute’s partners, the children were informed, in smart and creative ways, about the types of food that are highly beneficial for our health.
