AB Vassilopoulos, for the 7th consecutive year, held “AB Vassilopoulos` Volunteer Day“. On Sunday 28th of May, 7.000 volunteers, joined forces via AB Vasilopoulos` store network and realized, despite the rainy weather, more than 160 humanitarian and environmental actions, overall Greece.
Together, we performed actions stemming from our heart so as to reinforce entities such as: Elpida, Association of friends of children with cancer, Kivotos tou Kosmou, Unesco,The smile of the child, Paidiko Chorio SOS in Filyros Thessaloniki, Agios Spyridon Center of special children in Herakleion Crete, Love Bank of Metropoilis in Thiva, Agia Marina Foundation in Kavala, Retirement Home in Kastoria, Ioakimio Retirement Home of Alexandroupolis, Red Cross in Mytilene, Kivotos tis agapis (greek for the Ark of Love) Patras, Okana in Florina etc.
In AB Vasilopoulos we believe in the power of cooperation and in volunteering. Since 2011, we try to make the difference through team work, by giving our time and sharing our passion. Through Volunteerism we fulfill our vision of offer, which is an integral part of our everyday life and our heritage.
78 years now, we are here to offer the best. “AB Vassilopoulos` Volunteer Day” is an institution, which has been contributing to local communities for the past 7 years and will most certainly continue to do so. This year, with the dynamic participation of the AB family`s members, our friends and costumers, we broke the barrier of 37.000 volunteers and 1.100 actions, in seven years`time! Next year, with devotion in volunteerism we will continue dynamically with even more actions, across Greece.
Volunteering is a significant chapter in AB Vassilopoulos` Corporate Social Responsibility initiative “The ABC of Love”. Every letter is a unique story of offer.
