TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS through its subsidiary TÜV AUSTRIA CYPRUS, recently successfully completed the certification of the Energy Management Systems of HERMES AIRPORTS LTD, which is responsible for the management and operation of international Larnaca and Paphos airports in Cyprus in accordance with the requirements of EN ISO 50001. In particular, the international standard specifies the general requirements for the development of energy management systems in a company while focusin on identifying energy improvement opportunities.
In addition, TÜV AUSTRIA CYPRUS made also the first verification of emission of carbon dioxide in the above airports, in accordance with the requirements of airports verification shape Airport Carbon Accreditation Scheme (ACAS) of Airports Council International Europe (ACI-EUROPE). This scheme aims at the effective management and reduction of emissions from the activities of airports.
