The Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development initiatives of MYTILINEOS won top distinctions for yet another year, in recognition of their very high level and direct impact on society.
Three of the Company’s most ambitious initiatives of 2017, received distinctions in the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2018, raising the bar for the company and its people.
Specifically, MYTILINEOS was presented with the following awards:
- GOLD Award in the Category “Stakeholder Mobilisation & Engagement / Best printed or electronic publication”, for the informative microsite Integrated Value Creation SCORECARD, which uses quantitative and qualitative data to present the integrated value created by MYTILINEOS through its business activity.
- GOLD Award in the Category “Investment Model / Strengthening Employment”, for the application of the “Social Return on Investment” international methodology for calculating the Social Value of the Programme “ENGINEERS IN ACTION”, which had a very positive social impact, by helping 11 young engineers enter the labour market.
- SILVER Award in the Category “Excellence in Partnership / Business-NGO Partnership”, for the Second Round of the Programme “I’M IN!” to combat School Drop-out, developed and implemented in partnership with the NGO “TOGETHER FOR CHILDREN”.
All three actions stood out for their advanced know-how, for returning value to society and for their contribution to local communities.
The awards were presented in a special ceremony held on 15 February 2018, attended by more than 300 representatives of institutional bodies and senior executives from companies and Non-Governmental Organisations, who watched the presentation of the awards to the winning projects in the field of investments for sustainable and social development.
