Pan-European premiere on COSMOTE TV for National Geographic+

More than 400 documentaries available on demand via National Geographic+, on COSMOTE TV

Top documentaries and high-quality programs from National Geographic are now available on demand, on National Geographic+, premiering for the very first time in Europe via COSMOTE TV. Through National Geographic+, COSMOTE TV subscribers will have free of charge [1]access to hundreds of premium documentaries, on science, history, culture, nature, the Earth and space among others, with new programming and topics being added every month.  

Subscribers will be able to find all episodes of the 4 time-Emmy awarded series “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey”, both seasons of the historical “The Story of God with Morgan Freeman”, the emblematic “Destination Wild”, the first National Geographic scripted docu-series “Mars”, as well as the new title “One Strange Rock” by Darren Aronofsky hosted by Will Smith. National Geographic+ will be constantly refreshed with a curated selection of National Geographic documentary productions presented in Topics such as Egypt, Climate Change, Natural Disasters, World Cultures, Sharks, Cars, Dinosaurs etc.

The 400 documentary titles of the new service are added to a list with more than 1.000 series, movies and documentaries, available for free at the COSMOTE TV PLUS service”, stated the Executive Director of COSMOTE TV, Mr. Dimitris Michalakis.

National Geographic+ is the new on demand service from FOX Networks Group, Europe & Africa and will be available via the on demand menu of COSMOTE TV, as well as via the COSMOTE TV GO service, in order to enable watching on portable devices (i.e. smartphones, tablets, laptops). The service launches with more than 400 documentaries on demand, reaching over 800 within the first 6 months of operation.

In total, COSMOTE TV provides more than 90 digital channels in all program categories. Furthermore, it offers advanced on demand services enabling content viewing, available to all its subscribers, (COSMOTE REPLAY TV, COSMOTE TV PLUS, COSMOTE CINEMA ON DEMAND), having launched the first hybrid pay-as-you-go platform in Greece.
