COSMOTE participates in the European research project CloudPerfect

Aim: Enhancement of Cloud services’ competitiveness for both providers and businesses

COSMOTE contributes to the boost of Cloud technologies by participating in the European research project CloudPerfect[1]. The project aims at optimizing Cloud services while at the same time reducing cost, for the benefit of both providers and businesses.

CloudPerfect (www.cloudperfect.eu) is developing tools that will enable Cloud services providers to control the stability and effectively enhance the performance of their infrastructures by optimizing resources’ utilization (processing power, storage media, memory). Regarding businesses that want to adopt Cloud services, the research project develops tools that will enable providers’ offers ranking based on cost, performance and service quality preservation criteria on SLAs basis (Service Level Agreements).

COSMOTE participates in the definition of the technical requirements, specifications and system architecture, the development of the Cloud testbed platform and applications, the demonstration and the overall system evaluation. Moreover, COSMOTE contributes to the dissemination and exploitation of project’s outcomes as well as to the development of the business model.

CloudPerfect receives co-funding from the EU through the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme, with the participation of entities from five (5) European countries (Greece, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany and France), and has a 2 year total duration.
