COSMOTE has been named again this year, as the fastest network for Mobile Internet in Greece, winning “Greece’s Fastest Mobile Network 2018” SpeedTest Awards by Ookla, an independent company, which is globally recognized and specialized in broadband network testing applications, data and analysis. The COSMOTE mobile network is faster than the second provider by 68% in download speed. In order to provide high Mobile Internet speeds to even more customers, COSMOTE has increased the average Internet access speed by 40% and its network capacity by 57% over the past two years.
According to the results of thousands of consumer-initiated tests taken using Speedtest on LTE-capable devices, the COSMOTE network achieved average download speeds of 45.53 Mbps. The scores are referring to mobile networks in Greece and are based on more than 300,000 tests, which have been implemented via approximately 80,000 different smartphones iOS and Android devices from every provider over the past 6 months (1st and 2nd quarter 2018) in the whole country.
