ROBOGIRL” is a family comedy about the power of the team and the capability of children to implement even the most incredible ideas. It is the story of a young pupil named Sofia, who although is not associated with Science, she decides to enter the course of educational robotics, when she accidentally destroys her honor brother’s robot.

Sofia aims to rebuild the robot before Christmas, when her brother will be back home from his studies. During this effort, she discovers new things about herself, her friends, and her capabilities and about the achievements someone can accomplish with willingness and persistence.

ROBOGIRL will premiere at COSMOTE YouTube channel on Tuesday December 18th.

Moreover, it will air at COSMOTE TV on Saturday December 22nd at 19.50 (COSMOTE CINEMA 1HD).

The movie script is written by Myrto Kontova (“Beautiful Creatures”, “Talk to Me Dirty”, “From the Scratch”), directed by Vardis Marinakis (“The Black Meadow”, “From the Scratch”), staring Sofia Simoni, Maria Pipera and Asteris Rimagmos.

Over the past five years, COSMOTE supports educational robotics with actions enhancing the promotion of STEM education, the development of digital skills and the technological orientation of young people in Greece.

Children that are involved in educational robotics are utilizing the science in combination with mathematics, mechanics and technology for the creation of robotic constructions. As such, they can develop their digital skills, improve team work as well as their capability in solving complicated problems.

Until now, primary school, junior & senior high school students’ participations at the Educational Robotics Competitions, organized by the WRO Hellas along with COSMOTE as strategic partner, have exceeded 12,000. The Pan-Hellenic Educational Robotics Competition 2019 is in progress. Entries are open at the WRO website (www.wrohellas.gr) until January 31, 2019.
