Alpha Bank received three distinctions for its corporate responsibility policy, at the
Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2019 that took place on Thursday,
February 21, 2019, organised by Marketing Week and Boussias Communications for
the fourth consecutive year.
Specifically, at the Hellenic Responsible Business Awards 2019, the Bank won a Gold
Award in the Business – NGO Collaboration category, for the “Together, for better
health” programme, launched in 2014 together with the “Agoni Grammi Gonimi”
NGO, that provides medical and pharmaceutical equipment to medical centres in
Greek islands. In addition, it received two Silver Awards in the Disaster Relief and
Best Printed Edition / Corporate Responsibility Report categories respectively.
These three awards are an important recognition of Alpha Bank’s corporate
responsibility policy, which is inextricably linked to the Bank’s person-centred
approach and plays a defining role in designing and implementing its business activity.
The Hellenic Responsible Business Awards are a well-established institution, that
rewards companies and organisations whose work contributes to sustainable and
social development. They highlight models of cooperation that change the landscape
of contemporary sustainable entrepreneurship, something that has gained increasing
importance in Greece as well as globally.
