This hinges on the development of Sustainable Banking – through the adoption of a comprehensive strategy for implementation of Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) criteria – that combines growth and financial performance with social and environmental viability. In this context, together with 29 other banks in the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), we have co-developed the Responsible Banking Principles, which currently have been adopted by over 190 banks around the world.
At Piraeus Bank, we are accelerating our technological transformation, introducing a new way of banking. We offer innovative products and services, providing incentives for enterprises and personal banking clients, to participate in the journey towards a sustainable economy, a sustainable society.
