Attikes Diadromes S.A. (Attica Tollway Operations Authority) is the proud winner of the 2009 Toll Excellence Award in the Category of Administration.
This Prestigious Award represents the most distinctive honor which is handed out by the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) to Toll Agencies around the world that exceed the normal standards of practice and present innovation examples to others in the industry. IBTTA is the worldwide alliance of toll operators and associated industries that provides a forum for sharing knowledge and ideas to promote and enhance toll-financed transportation services. IBTTA members (320 companies from 50 countries) are diverse businesses entities that specialise in the design, financing, construction, operation, management, marketing, and maintenance of toll road infrastructure.
Every year, IBTTA rewards through “Excellence Awards” entities which demonstrate excellent, creative and pioneer practices in Administration, Customer Service, Operation, Corporate Social Responsibility and Technology.
With the “Toll Excellence Award” which constitutes a prestigious and distinct title for organisations which are part of the toll road industry, Attiki Odos (Concessionaire) and Attikes Diadromes (Operator) are honored and rewarded for the implementation of a pioneer project entitled, “Monitoring the Success”. The project was implemented by the Management of the Company aiming at the monitoring of the Performance by evaluation of the procedures and the practices followed by all departments of the Operating Agency. More precisely, the project implemented covers the sectors of Strategy, Organisation, Communication, Financial Management, Legal Support, Human Resources, Risk Evaluation and many other supporting actions, aiming at the assessment of the practical measures implemented by all Units and Departments of the Company.
This international recognition which is added to many other distinctions and prizes already awarded constitutes for Attiki Odos and Attikes Diadromes one more “stamp of approval” of the efforts and the professionalism exhibited by all personnel. At the same time it binds the company for striving for a wider improvement and dedication to the project of Attiki Odos and offering better service for its users.
