HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group publishes its Sustainability Report 2010

In 2006, HELLENIC PETROLEUM Group published its inaugural Sustainability Report, to share the Group’s progress and performance with stakeholders. The 6th annual edition provides an integrated and balanced overview of the Group’s major business performance, environmental approach and social responsibility during the fiscal year 2010 (January 1, 2010 – December 31, 2010). Comments and suggestions from a range of stakeholders including customers, employees and the community were considered for the preparation of this report.  The Group will continue using this approach and actively support its commitment for sustainable development.

Reporting Guidelines
This report was prepared taking into account the GRI’s (Global Reporting Initiative) G3 Guidelines, the 10 principles of the United Nations Global Compact and the draft GRI supplement for the Oil & Gas sector. The United Nations Global Compact (GC) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) are both voluntary initiatives that play complementary roles in promoting universal principles through corporate accountability and improved performance. HELLENIC PETROLEUM has adopted the two complementary initiatives, guaranteeing a robust value platform for the implementation of sustainability policies in its strategy and business practice.
