Leaders took their place

The presentation of the EuroCharity Yearbook 2011/12 – Leadership for Sustainability took place in a special event at an enormously impressive and historic building, in the National Library of Greece, on July 5. The book was presented to a distinguished group of key stakeholders, corporate leaders, the media, contributing authors and academics, and partners and friends of EuroCharity.

Now in its fifth successful year, the EuroCharity Yearbook aims at highlighting critical issues and helping galvanise public opinion into positive action. A total of 27 acclaimed guest authors (including thought leaders, visionaries, CEOs, entrepreneurs, students and young professionals) and 14 CEOs from 16 countries across three continents share their viewpoints, ideas and proposals on sustainable leadership.

Mr. Peter Michel Heilmann, President of EuroCharity, gave the opening speech, while Mr. Michael Spanos, Managing Partner of EuroCharity, highlighted the main points of this year’s international publication. Moreover, Mr. Grant Carson, Citi Country Officer, and Mr Serge Schmidt, CEO Halyps Cement – Italcementi Group, shared with the audience their views on sustainable leadership. The panel discussion was moderated by Dimitris Bourantas, Professor of Organisational Behaviour, Department of Management Science & Technology at the Athens University of Economics and Business. Among the participants were Mr. Nikos Koutsianas, Managing Director of APIVITA, and Mr. Kris Amiralis, President of FutureLeaders.
