OTE and COSMOTE support six young athletes who ‘don’t give up’

OTE and COSMOTE, support six young athletes who with passion, persistence and dedication managed to achieve their goal and actually did so with high distinctions, in an effort to bring to the fore the potential of young people in Greece.    

Competing in Sailing, Vyronas Kokkalanis (in the category RS:X Surfboard), Panagiotis Kampouridis and Stathis Papadopoulos (in the category 470) and Yiannis Mitakis (in the category Finn), along with Despoina Solomou and Evaggelia Platanioti competing in Synchronized swimming will travel to London within the next days to represent Greece.

This OTE and COSMOTE initiative entitled #MHSTAMATAS is aiming through sports to bring to the fore young people, Greece’s driving force, who despite the adverse environment continue to raise high standards and overcome any obstacles, setting an example for us all, but also acting as Greece’s ambassadors to the world.

“In difficult times, the country’s youth is struggling on many ‘tracks and fields’. We support the six promising Greek athletes, who were not complacent, did not seek excuses to quit, did not give up in the face of difficulties and proved that all you need is to believe in yourself and all your steps will eventually lead you to a new opportunity, to something better. The path of these young people is a lesson for us all” stated OTE-COSMOTE Group Chairman and CEO Michael Tsamaz, on the occasion of the sponsorship’s announcement.
