During a special ceremony held at the Maroussi Town Hall on Monday, September 10, representatives from HYGEIA Hospital, accompanied by the Hospital’s ambulances, handed over the first-aid kits to the Mayor of Maroussi, Mr Georgios Patoulis. The ceremony was attended by teachers and students from local schools, and representatives from the Municipality’s Education Department and Corporate Social Responsibility Office.
The local government representatives thanked HYGEIA Hospital for its kind offer and underlined that this action, just before the commencement of the new school year, will assist in raising social awareness among other bodies during these difficult times, all for the benefit of the children.
Commenting on the initiative, HYGEIA Group’s CEO, Ms Areti Souvatzoglou, stated, “We could not but respond with sensitivity to the request of the Municipality, with the aim of caring for and safeguarding the children’s everyday activities at school. The most valuable asset for students in this difficult endeavor they are embarking on is their health, which we ought to protect in every possible way. Besides, prevention is the most effective cure. For this reason, HYGEIA Hospital yet again raises the bar in public health, and wishes a happy and creative school year to all the students.”
