Third consecutive international distinction for COSMOTE for its Business Continuity Management System

Marking yet another milestone, COSMOTE’s Business Continuity Management system received a distinction during the Global Business Continuity Institute Awards, one of the leading institutions globally, winning the “Business Continuity Manager of the Year 2012” award which is also the highest distinction of the event.

The company also participated in the category “Business Continuity Team of the Year”, where it reached the finalists’ list for the title.

With this award, COSMOTE is the only Greek company to make it to the first place at one of the most important institutions in the field of Business Continuity globally.

The Business Continuity Institute was established in 1994 with the aim of offering guidance and support on Business Continuity issues to companies and organizations across the globe. Today, it has over 7,000 members in over 100 countries and is the leading certification body in this field globally. The objective of Business Continuity is to shield operations against potential threats and unforeseen events.

The awards ceremony was held in London, on November 7. The “Business Continuity Manager of the Year 2012” award was presented to the Head of the Group’s Business Continuity Management, Mr. Giannis Zeppos.
