OTE and COSMOTE bade farewell to 2012 receiving significant distinctions in the areas of Corporate Responsibility and Environmental Protection at the “CSR Reporting Forum 2012 – Corporate Social Responsibility Reports” as well as at the PPC 2013 Environmental Awards contest.
At the “CSR Reporting Forum 2012 – Corporate Social Responsibility Reports”, OTE’s 2011 Corporate Responsibility Report was awarded the 3rd Prize of High Performance on 2011 CSR Report based on GRI-G3.1 indicators among 37 Greek 2011 CSR Reports. Similarly, COSMOTE received praise for its 2011 Corporate Responsibility Report with regard to the successful implementation of the international standard GRI-G3.1 for CSR reporting of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The objective of the forum organized by the Sustainable Development is to bring to the fore the efforts made by the Greek enterprises in CSR Reports, and to provide specialised information to the Hellenic business community regarding international trends in the field of CSR and Sustainable Development.
In addition, OTE and COSMOTE emerged as big winners receiving the grand award in the Grand Waste Management Award category during the PPC 2013 Environmental Awards contest, in which best practices for the protection of the Environment & Sustainability are rewarded. The two companies in addition received the following 4 awards:

- Waste Management-Recycling
- Hazardous Waste Management
- Climate Protection-GHG Emissions Minimization
For the first time, the contest was organized by the Plant Management magazine issued by Boussias Communications and was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment & Development and the Institute of Production & Operations Management (IDIP – PY) of the Hellenic Management Association.
