With the backdrop of extremely adverse economic conditions, ICAP Group, the only company recognized as Credit Rating Agency by the Securities and Exchange Commission and the respective European Securities and Markets Authority, has undertaken the initiative of celebrating the business leading Companies and Groups.
Note that it is the only institution which awards ALL the Companies and Groups that meet 4 criteria, without considering the subjective opinion of a Committee or of a voting procedure.
In a glorious ceremony held in 2011 under the auspices of the Ministry of Development and Competitiveness, granted by the newspaper “TA NEA” and presented by journalist John Politis, 25 companies and 26 Groups were awarded, for responding to four measurable and objective criteria namely Profitability, Personnel Growth, Credit Rating and position in their Industry.
The prizes were awarded by Mr. Manolis Paterakis, Special Secretary for Competitiveness, Mr. Dimitris Daskalopoulos President Hellenic Federation of Enterprises, Mr. Constantine Michalos, President of Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mr. Vassilis Korkidis, President of National Confederation of Hellenic Commerce. The ceremony was sponsored by the METLIFE ALICO and LARSINOS SA. and supported by PHARMATHEN and SPEEDEX.

In 2012, the successful institution continues dynamically highlighting (not ranking) those Companies and Groups that met (in 2011), based on published results, the following objective criteria:
- Were included in the 500 most profitable Companies or the 200 most profitable Groups based on EBITDA, for 2011
- Were among the 500 companies or 200 Groups that have increased their employees base from 2010 to 2011
- They are ranked among the top 10 positions in their industry (based on Revenues)
