EuroCharity presented Yearbook on Innovation for Excellence at the European Parliament

The EuroCharity Yearbook 2012/13 – Innovation for Excellence was officially presented at a special event held at the European Parliament, on June 26. The global launch was attended by Members of the European Parliament, international organisation officials, corporate leaders, academia and other stakeholders who had the opportunity to exchange views related to innovation.

EuroCharity’s event was hosted by Mr. Spyros Danellis, MEP, member of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats in the European Parliament (S&D Group). In his welcoming address, Mr. Danellis highlighted: “I strongly believe that the Yearbook gives a clear and precise picture of the work made during all these years for a sustainable industrialisation and innovative solutions in technological issues. I believe that we all have a very clear picture both for the global challenges and of the need for leaders to engage in a new type of growth”.

Mr. Michael Spanos, Managing Partner, EuroCharity, presented EuroCharity’s role and highlighted some of the research and content of the 164-page EuroCharity Yearbook. As he quoted: “Innovation constitutes a key driver for entrepreneurship and it is highly linked with sustainability which is necessary to get back on the growth path”.

EuroCharity Yearbook guest authors were given the opportunity to present their own input related to the 6th EuroCharity Yearbook, including Mr. Rémy Jacob, Dean, European Investment Bank Institute and Mr. Marc Amblard, CEO, EFQM.

In addition, an interactive panel discussion on global innovation trends followed, which was moderated by Mr. Spanos.
