Turn your Idea into a Business with COSMOTE StartUp

Innovative ideas become real businesses with COSMOTE StartUp, the program realized by COSMOTE within its “Our world is you” action.

COSMOTE StartUp was created by COSMOTE in cooperation with the Hellenic Management Association (HMA), the entrepreneurship organisation Found.ation and OTEAcademy. It is aimed at people with new ideas, which, under the right guidance and support by experts, can be transformed into a dynamic business. Through COSMOTE StartUp, COSMOTE provides significant impetus to the Greek entrepreneurship, as it offers the opportunity to the teams that will stand out to attend a comprehensive 3-month training course and to network with Greek investment companies, private investors and investment groups from abroad.

Each new team driven by vision and team work can submit, its application for joining COSMOTE StartUp until 4 December 2013, filling out the entry form on www.cosmotestartup.gr.1

Screening of all applications will result to the teams that will take part in the “Selection Day”. A special committee will then choose the final 10 teams that will participate in the intensive COSMOTE StartUp 3-month training course, during which they can develop their idea with the help of a structured educational experiential program, selected coaches and insightful speakers with expertise on StartUps and entrepreneurship. The program will conclude with an open event for the teams to present the final idea to potential investors.
COSMOTE StartUp realizes the wish of Iraklis Papadopoulos’ who had asked COSMOTE, through the “Our world is you” page on Facebook, to support creative people and innovative business ideas.

About the “Our world is you” action
Through its “Our world is you” action, COSMOTE gives everyone the unique opportunity to see his/her own idea of making the world a better place to live, become real. The first step was taken in September 2011, when the company invited people to submit their own idea. More than 19,000 people have responded to that call, expressing their wish. The first idea that singled out and was fulfilled in December 2011 was the wish of Maria Tsiouni for a world full of children’s smiles. On that occasion, COSMOTE with the active participation of Maria managed to meet essential needs of Chatzikiriakeio Children’s Foundation. The second action, the “Family Support Program” which was made in collaboration with K.Y.A.D.A. (Hospitality and Solidarity Centre of the Municipality of Athens) brought to life the idea of Iliana Karavioti to support families in need. The desire of Sonia Charalambidou from Prespes and Dimitra Koufidou from Samothrace to beautify life in Greek border areas was the impetus for the implementation of the third action. COSMOTE proceeded with the restoration and complete renovation works of two municipal buildings, the Patoulideio Sports Centre and the Municipal Library of Lemos. At the same time, the Cultural Center in the Town of Samothrace was completely renovated and handed over.
