ISO 20121 certificate award for the renovated Municipal Theatre of Piraeus

TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS, at a special event held last week in the renovated Municipal Theatre of Piraeus, awarded to the Mayor of Piraeus, Mr. Vassilis Michaloliakos the certificate of conformity in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 20121 for the design, management, implementation and sustainability of the organized events. The Agency of Culture, Youth and Sports of the Municipality of Piraeus, through which the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus operates, is the first organization in Greece certified in accordance with this standard. Also, the Olympic Games in London as well as the Danish Presidency in the European Union have been certified according to ISO 20121.

Specifically, the certification by the internationally recognized and independent organization TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS strengthens the position of the Municipal Theatre as a center of creation and design for the cultural renaissance of Piraeus. It also turns the city into a meeting point, so as in the future to be recognized as a center of parallel activities that will spread across the city and will be related to art, music and philosophy. Please note that during this major renovation of the theater, TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS carried out specialized technical inspections of the hoist of the new scene.

Mr. Vassilis Michaloliakos, during the official ceremony, thanked all those who worked for this common purpose as well as the TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS audits with whose professionalism and expertise, the Municipal Theatre has gained added value.
