Participation in the research project NEMESYS

Development of network infrastructure for even greater security in mobile communications.

COSMOTE participates in the European research project NEMESYS
, which aims at the development of innovative network infrastructure for even greater security in the mobile ecosystem (smart devices and network infrastructure) against malicious attacks. The NEMESYS Consortium consists of 6 partners from 5 countries (Greece, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain).

The project leverages cutting-edge technologies for the analysis and visualization of information (visual analytics) and develops innovative technologies for the detection of malicious actions against mobile devices (mobile honeypots), in order to predict and identify potential threats, so that the appropriate countermeasures can be applied.

In the context of the NEMESYS project, COSMOTE participates in the determination of the system’s technical requirements, specifications and architecture as well as in its overall evaluation. In addition, the company will contribute to the dissemination and exploitation of the results of the project.

The project is co-funded by the EU through the 7th Framework Programme and has a total duration of 3 years.

COSMOTE is actively engaged in research and development, both at European and national level, displaying a large number of successful projects, as well as an international network of partnerships with industry and academia. By collaborating on the NEMESYS project, COSMOTE, promotes research and innovation in mobile communications, with multiple benefits both for society and its subscribers.
