THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF GREECE: The Senior Sustainability Manager elected to AASHE’s Board of Directors!

The American College of Greece is proud to announce that Ms. Rania Assariotaki, Senior Sustainability Manager, Office of Public Affairs, has been elected to the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Board of Directors.

The purpose of the Board is to advise, govern, oversee policy and direction, and assist with the general promotion of AASHE. It consists of faculty, students, staff and administrators representing organizational members. Between 30% and 50% of the Board of Directors are elected by the AASHE membership.

The role of the AASHE Board is to oversee the planning, visioning and setting of priorities, support the organization’s projects and the work of its committees, be responsible for AASHE as defined by relevant legislation, bylaws and policies, and work collectively with the Executive Director to oversee the work of the organization. Directors serve a three-year term.

Ms. Assariotaki’s term begins in January 2022 and she is the only representative from a European educational institution to have been elected to the Board.
