Global Sustain presented the Yearbook 2014/15 “The Power of Collaboration” at a special event in Brussels. The presentation, hosted by MEP Stelios Kouloglou and MEP Simona Bonafè, took place on December 11, at the European Parliament, Brussels.
Among speakers were: Michael Spanos, Managing Director, Global Sustain, Renzo Tomellini, Head of Unit, DG Research & Innovation, Sandrine Dixson-Declève, Director EU, Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, Yannis Salavopoulos, Managing Director, Global Sustain GmbH Germany, President, CAPITALS Business Circle, Vanya Veras, Secretary General, Municipal Waste Europe, Senior Advisor, Global Sustain.
During the event, Global Sustain announced its ninth Yearbook 2015/16 entitled “Sustainable Consumption and Production: Towards a Circular Economy”, in collaboration with the SwitchMed and the Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production of the UNEP. The publication will be presented in June 2016, in Athens, Brussels and Berlin.
The presentation was attended by EU officials, academia, top experts and other stakeholders. The participants had the opportunity to interact and share their views regarding important sustainability issues, such as the European Commission’s response to the adoption of Sustainable Development Goals, business opportunities, circular economy etc.
