For the third consecutive year, Schneider Electric has been named a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for ADMS. In 2016, Schneider Electric has received the highest scores in all three use cases in the Critical Capabilities for Advanced Distribution Management Systems.
Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) are unified management platforms for electricity power distribution, offering numerous capabilities to grid operators, including surveillance, network performance analysis, incident management and maintenance planning. These systems are key to electricity distributors’ strategies to optimize grid management, improve performance, accelerate deployment and reduce operating costs. As proof of their criticality, the ADMS market should grow by more than 17 percent annually between 2014 and 2019, according to British consulting firm Technavio.¹
For the third consecutive year, Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation, was recognized as a leader in ADMS systems by Gartner, Inc. in its Magic Quadrant report.² Schneider Electric also scored the highest in the accompanying critical capabilities for advanced distribution management systems report for all three use cases: improve outage reponse, optimize grid operation and manage DER impacts.³
Identified as a leader in the ADMS market by Gartner’s Magic Quadrant, Schneider Electric equips 69 electricity distributors, serving 66 million clients worldwide. Over the last few months, Schneider Electric has signed more than 10 new ADMS contracts, such as the Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corp. (Central Hudson, United States) in March 2016.
