Discovering and supporting young talents, startuppers and university researchers, with innovative ideas applicable to the energy sector. This is the spirit with which Enel is promoting collaborations with incubators and scouting initiatives for the best ideas and most interesting projects in the countries where it operates.

And this is precisely the aim that has led us to become the main partner of Innovation Labs 2017, the most important pre-accelerator programme for startups and innovators in Romania.

From March 4th, the contest launched by the platform to foster young Romanian talents with a passion for technology and innovation will enter its crucial phase, offering them the opportunity to access mentoring and acceleration programmes.

The programme is divided into three phases: Hackathon, Boost Day and Demo Day. In the first phase, which will take place during the month of March in various Romanian cities (Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca Iasi, Sibiu and Timisoara), young talents and startuppers, organised into teams, will have the chance to shape their ideas and present them to the jury and public. The best projects will continue to the next phases by developing their products in the mentoring programme from March to May, through weekly meetings with experts and managers in the ICT sector and business world, to be able to transform the prototype of their idea into a valid and functional product.

The best teams will finally launch the final prototypes at the Demo Day scheduled on May 24th in Bucharest.

As a partner of the initiative, Enel participates in the session on energy technologies (Energy Track), with a team of managers from different departments of the Market unit, including Sales, Innovation and Commercial Development, Marketing and Planning and Quality Management. Their task is to provide the young participants with mentoring and coaching in order to select the best projects and best ideas that could help us innovate the world of energy.
