A successful first year for the Strongest Companies in Greece Community

από | 08/07/2011 | ESG/Sustainability

One year has passed since the establishment of the Strongest Companies in Greece Community, inspired by ICAP Group and warmly embraced by 900 enterprises which have so far joined the Community. ICAP Group’s vision was and still  is to  provide  companies  that have a high ICAP Rating Score (i.e. AA, A or BB  of the 10grade ICAP scale) with a Certificate which will  assist them in  their partnerships and transactions and will support them in their relations with clients, suppliers and creditors in Greece and abroad.

The successful institution continues with the provision of the Strongest Companies 2011 Certificate, and the 150 applications already in process are a strong indication that it will get the same positive response. On the occasion of the first year operation completion, ICAP has evaluated the Community members’ performance revealing that only 0.6% of the companies that joined the Community in 2010 (namely 5 companies) have experienced a credit event (i.e. officially recorded delays whose value exceeds 1.5% of annual sales, or bankruptcy petition or bankruptcy itself). This outcome is particularly satisfying as it remains much lower than the performance limits of ICAP credit models. In order to ensure the added value of the Community, ICAP closely and systematically monitors the performance of the Community members having developed updating procedures of the members list.
