AB Vassilopoulos, committed to its Corporate Responsibility strategy and more specifically to its third pillar “PLANET”, launched a pilot programme for medicine pill recycling. Initially security disposal bins were placed at two of our stores: one at Ethniki and a second at Ellinikon. Main target of this “χάπιend” programme — χάπι (hapi) in Greek means pill — is to motivate people to recycle medicine pills that they no longer need and which they usually dispose of as regular waste. Medicine pills usually end up in landfills or drainages, pollute the water and therefore create major damages to the environment.

AB’s participation in the programme proves once more its environmental sensibility and its commitment to offer its clients the ability to recycle the majority of the materials they use.
