With its 25 enterprises, the TÜV AUSTRIA Group generated a cumulative revenue of 110 mio. EURO in the past year. More than 1.000 employees performed a total of over 360.000 annual measurements, inspections and monitoring services. The top-quality courses and seminars at the renowned TÜV AUSTRIA Academy drew more than 8.000 attendees and participants.
At the presentation of the 2010 annual report on June 14th, 2011, CEO Dipl.-Ing. Dr. Hugo Eberhardt declared: “As the review of the past year shows, we were able to emerge from the crisis with strength. The first months of the current year prove quite positive due to a good economy, which benefits many our clients. It is right now that many of them put even greater emphasis on safety and quality.”
Therein lies TÜV AUSTRIA’s motivation to set out to further the process of internationalisation – both in the 19 countries where the group is operative today and beyond. The scope of services is furthermore to be rooted more broadly and strongly in healthcare, and extended in the field of energy.
This planned course applied to the fields services, courses and certifications.
The definitive certification organisation for Austria
As chairman of the TÜV AUSTRIA HOLDING AG Supervisory Board, Commercial Councilor Dipl.-Ing. Johann Marihart is particularly delighted over customer loyalty: “This is also evident in the more recently added fields of expertise such as IT security, photovoltaic systems or food hygiene.”
The TÜV AUSTRIA Group strives to guarantee technical safety, to take care of natural resources and to continuously improve the quality of products and services.
TÜV AUSTRIA: Strong brand, excellent recognition value and corporate image
A survey regarding TÜV AUSTRIA’s corporate image was conducted last year. Its results revealed that a large majority of polled businesses would consider ordering TÜV AUSTRIA services. Especially inspections and evaluations of plant safety standards, courses and training, as well as the certification of management systems were of great interest. Experience, trust, quality, integrity and reliability were qualities commonly associated with TÜV AUSTRIA experts.
Eberhardt underlined these findings: “More than ever, we are today en route to becoming the definitive certification organisation for Austria — in the areas of plant safety, pressure equipment, and quality, environment, energy and health management systems.”
President and chairman of the supervisory board Commercial Councilor KR Dipl.-Ing. Johann Marihart thanked the TÜV AUSTRIA staff for their work and the CEO for his successful leadership of the TÜV AUSTRIA corporate group.
