The long-standing procedure started on Tuesday, 11 September, when the invitation to participate was sent to the NGOs and then continued with the voting through EuroCharity’s official page in Facebook (www.facebook.com/EuroCharityGR). The process came to a close with the NGO Project Funding Committee’s meeting and judgment, on Tuesday, 4 December. This year for the first time, the voting procedure ran through Facebook, with 7,347 votes (5,200 confirmed votes).
The projects that will be financed are the following:
- We join forces for 60 children in danger. United we will make it! – The Smile of the Child
- Sheltered housing – Association of Parents & Guardians People with Special Needs in prefecture Fthiotida
Ms. Regina Sotra, Stakeholder Relations Manager, EuroCharity, has stated respectively: “We would like to express our gratitude for the great participation and thank everybody who voted for their preferable NGO project, as well as the NGOs that took part in the voting. Until today, EuroCharity has financed 14 NGO projects and raised social awareness and solidarity in a difficult financial environment. We commit that we will continue supporting civil society for the following years.”
