ΟΤΕ and COSMOTE support for yet another year the PanHellenic Student Competition “Lysias 2014” (www.lysias.gr) and stand by the Greek students who get inspired by the values of fair play, collaboration and team spirit — all promoted by this competition.

The LYSIAS competition is organised by Doukas School with the participation of students between the ages of 9 and 18 from Greece, Cyprus and abroad. The students combine learning and fun by answering questions from their school curriculum and everyday life on the LYSIAS webpage. The participants may access the Internet from anywhere. During the last round, the finalists compete at designated test centres.

The LYSIAS platform is hosted at the OTE server. Moreover, OTE and COSMOTE will award prizes to winners, such as mobile phones, personal computers, cameras and OTE TV subscriptions.

It should be noted that for the past few years for every child’s participation in the competition an amount of money has been donated to “ELPIDA”, the Association of Friends of Children with Cancer, an initiative described with the slogan “Play & Help”.

The LYSIAS student competition, which has met with great success, is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, Sport and Culture. In 2013 alone, more than 46,300 students participated online in the competition.
