Social contribution events by Alpha bank

In the context of its Social Responsibility Programme, Alpha Bank carried out on Saturday, March 29, 2014 several social contribution events, aimed at collecting food supplies donated by the Bank and the Employees, to the extent that they could afford and were willing to offer, in order to support social organisations, throughout Greece.

This particular project was conducted in collaboration with the Boroume (“We Can”- http://www.boroume.gr/) volunteering organisation.

Thanks to the broad participation by the Employees of the Bank, a total of 1,085 boxes with food supplies were collected. It should be mentioned that, apart from the food supplies collected, the Bank offered 560 kilograms of olive oil to the social organisationsinvolved.

The events were held in Athens, at the ground floor of the Main Building of Alpha Bank, (40, Stadiou Street), in Thessaloniki, at the Egnatia Branch, in Larissa, at the Central Greece Branch Division and in Patra, at the Patrai Branch, where the Employees offered food supplies, which were delivered to representatives of the organisations. The collection, sorting out and packaging of the items was conducted by Volunteers of theBank.

The items collected were sent to the following organisations as listed below:
ATHENS:
1) Holy Church of Saint Panteleimon – Acharnon Street
2) Saint Marina Orthodox Church, Ilioupoli
3) Holy Church of Saint Dimitrios Oplon, Kato Patissia
4) Holy Metropolis of Nikaia
5) Spata Social Grocery Store

THESSALONIKI:
1) Asylo tou Paidiou (Child’s Asylum)
2) Greek Children’s Village in Filyro

LARISSA:
1) Eleftheria Guesthouse (Association of parents, guardians and friends of people
affected by autism)
2) Larissa Social Grocery Store

PATRA:
1) Asylo Aniaton (Asylum for patients affected by chronic diseases), Patra
2) Patra Social Grocery Store

In addition, from March 24 until March 28, 2014, food supplies were also collected at thefollowing Branches: Agrinion, Iraklion, Ierapetra, Istiaia, Kavala, Lamia, Lemnos, Mytilini, Pyrgos, Rethymnon, Sparti, Hermoupolis and Chania. The items weredelivered to representatives of Social Services and Churches.
