Alpha Bank has undertaken Corporate Responsibility actions in order to offer
immediate assistance to the people stricken by the recent destructive fires in Eastern
and Western Attica and provided 800 items of clothing to the residents of the
Municipality of Marathon and 600 items of medical and pharmaceutical supplies to
the Municipality of Rafina.
In addition, in order to facilitate the repayment of housing, consumer and business
loans, as well as cards, the Bank offers the possibility of interest-free payment
suspension, for a period of up to twelve months, to its Customers who have suffered
damages, whether Individuals living, or Businesses operating, in the affected areas.
In order to benefit from this offer, Customers should submit an application through
the Alpha Bank Branch where their account is kept, by 31.12.2018.
Moreover, aiming at restoring, where possible, transactions through cards in the
affected areas, the Bank will replace the Business Customers’ POS terminals that
have been destroyed by the fires and will undertake any potential costs for the
technical support or lease of the new POS terminals, for the next six months.
Furthermore, AXA Insurance has proceeded to actions of immediate support to Bank
customers possessing a home insurance policy, who are in need, by ensuring short
term accommodation, as well as an advance payment to cover initial expenses.
The Executives of the Bank’s Branch Network remain at the disposal of Customers,
Individuals and Businesses, from the disaster-stricken areas, in order to support, as
appropriate, their efforts to restore the damages caused.
