In response to articles published in the local media in Rhodes on the construction of the new Distribution Center in the region of Agios Nikolaos, HEDNO once again stresses the public benefit character of this project, which will ensure sufficiency and stability of energy supply in the city of Rhodes.
The new Distribution Center is a key infrastructure for the region’s electricity network: its construction will guarantee sufficient and non-stop electricity supply for the city. At the same time, HEDNO is building all infrastructure required for the forthcoming implementation of new development projects on the island.
Furthermore, HEDNO repeats that the construction and opening of the Distribution Center will not affect residents’ health, as confirmed by recognized, Greek and International, organizations and institutes which have carried out regular measurements and surveys in similar facilities. Please also note that all health and safety requirements will be met.
Finally, it is stressed that the construction of the new Distribution Center meets all legal requirements, since all necessary licenses have been received by the competent services and authorities. The legitimacy of all licenses administered to HEDNO has been validated by competent high court and authorities. License terms will be meticulously adhered to during construction works.
