MYTILINEOS Sustainability Leader for 2017

16.05.2018 Share

MYTILINEOS was ranked a Sustainability Leader for 2017, at the top tier of the Sustainable Performance Directory, the Sustainable Development Business Index for Greek enterprises, together with six other companies from among a total of 50.

This major distinction demonstrates the Company's dedication to sustainable development and responsible entrepreneurship, as well as to its continuous contribution to society. For MYTILINEOS, its commitment to Sustainable Development is first and foremost a constant learning and self-improvement process that strengthens its competitiveness and establishes the conditions enabling it to create value for all its Stakeholder groups. The alignment of the Company’s strategy to the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals and its participation in related domestic and international initiatives, such as its participation in the Greek Sustainability Code, are part of this process.

The ranking of MYTILINEOS in the group of “The Most Sustainable Companies in Greece” is a solid proof that the Company, after 10 years of systematic efforts, is moving in the right direction. Most importantly, however, it serves as a compass for the future – so that, drawing on its renewed governance system and streamlined organisational structure, working with method and increased efficiency, it can work to promote sustainable practices across its entire value creation chain.

The Sustainable Development Directory was developed by QualityNet Foundation as part of the Sustainable Greece 2020 initiative. The companies that distinguished themselves in the evaluation and ranking process are the companies that follow a comprehensive approach to Sustainable Development and to the disclosure of non-financial information required under the national regulatory framework.
