AB Vassilopoulos was “Crowned” with two distinctions at the Social Media Awards 2015

AB VASSILOPOULOS WAS “CROWNED” WITH TWO DISTINCTIONS AT THE SOCIAL MEDIA AWARDS 2015 – Silver & Bronze awards for the innovative social networking practices

AB Vassilopoulos, showcasing new and innovative practices for its digital communications, for an imp roved and amplified interaction with its audience, made the difference once again at the Social Media Awards 2015. With over 450 nominations, AB was awarded the Silver award for the “Best Use of Social Media for a corporate brand” in the category Retail/E-Commerce and the Bronze award in the category “Best Social Media Strategy for Event Promotion” for the campaign “We become Volunteers 2015”. AB’s silver distinction for the “Best Use of Social Media” came as a reward and recognition of the company’s successful strategy to bring the costumers closer to their favorite chain, directly informing them for offers and new products, while offering useful content which gives practical solutions for their daily life. The prize for the category “Best Social Media Strategy for Event Promotion” pertains to the AB campaign “We become Volunteers 2015”. The campaign’s goal was to raise awareness and motivate the audience to participate in AB “Volunteer Day”, an activity which is a tradition for the company. Specifically, within two weeks the campaign managed to reach more than 1,000,000 people, leveraging on its online and social platforms while developing interaction with the audience. At the same time, this year’s participations marked a new record, with more than 7,300 volunteers! 

During the award ceremony which took place on Thursday 19 November, Dimitris Koronaios, AB Vassilopoulos’ Omni-Channel & Digital Loyalty Manager stated: “This year’s distinctions along with the audience recognition, not only reward our efforts but they also contribute to our further development.
