The social contribution programme “Together, for better health”, under which Alpha Bank offers medical and pharmaceutical supplies and equipment to the Greek islands for the support of local health centres, has been completed for 2016.
The Programme was carried out, for the third consecutive year, in collaboration with the Civil Non-Profit Company “AGONI GRAMMI GONIMI”. First launched in 2014, the Programme was continued during 2015 and in 2016 was extended to eight more islands, namely Thassos (8.4.2016), Andros (14.4.2016), Tinos (15.4.2016), Folegandros (22.4.2016), Kythnos (26.4.2016), Samos (16.5.2016), Ikaria (19.5.2016) and Fournoi (26.5.2016).
The main goals of the Programme are to assist in practice the difficult work of the local health centres and to strengthen the feeling of security for local residents of the Greek islands, regarding health issues. Since its launch in 2014 and until the end of May 2016, the Programme has been completed in a total of twenty islands.
