Katerina Perissi, General Manager, Global Sustain Group

Katerina is an Experienced Manager with more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, skilled in Sustainable Development, Sustainability, Environment Management Systems (EMS), Communication, and Environmental Awareness. Strong operations professional with a BA in Civil Engineering from the University of West Attica (Former Athens University of Applied Science) and a holder of a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration by the Hellenic Management Association. 

Since October 2020, Katerina has been General Manager at Global Sustain Group, in charge of the overall performance of the company in close collaboration with the CEO. She is responsible for the administrative and financial management of the Group, the process monitoring and the business development in cooperation with all relevant departments.

From 2012 until May 2020, she was in charge of OTE Group’s Environmental Performance heading a series of very important projects. Indicatively, in 2019-2020, Katerina led the interdepartmental team which was responsible for the design of OTE Group’s 1st Climate Change Impact Assessment according to TCFD guidelines. Also in 2019, OTE Group approved and committed to the Climate Change 2030 Target with Katerina being the Head Coordinator of all relevant actions and activities. In the area of Circular Economy/Waste Management, during 2020, she coordinated the design and implementation of OTE Group’s 2020 waste management target “Zero waste to landfill from ICT services” and set challenging targets for reducing the use of plastic in the OTE Group value chain and eliminating single-use plastics (bottles/cups) in the main buildings of the Group (ZERO PLASTIC initiative). In 2016, Katerina designed and implemented OTE’s Circular Economy strategy, thus, including the principles of Circular Economy in the company’s value chain. 

From 2012 to 2020, she supervised and coordinated the team in charge of the certification of OTE Group according to ISO 14001. Katerina was also in charge of:
a. The design and implementation of EMS certified programs;
b. The expansion of the ISO 14001:2015 scope; and 
c. OTE’s compliance with environmental legislation. 

Finally, in 2017, she was responsible for the design and implementation process of the Group Environmental Risk assessment according to ISO14001:2015. Katerina is capable of handling complex projects, managing change, and balancing competing interests and conflicting situations. With a comprehensive understanding of Environmental Management Systems, the civil society, and the digital transformation of the economy and society, Katerina is able to develop strong relations with key stakeholders at all levels.
