Donation to PNOE – Friends of Children's Intensive Care

During a ceremony today at the Patras General University Hospital, incubators and other medical equipment were presented to the Neonates Intensive Care Unit.

The equipment, worth EUR 150,000, was purchased under the responsibility of the "PNOE – Friends of Children's Intensive Care" Association and the amount of the donation was collected through transactions made with Euroline card of Eurobank EFG.

The donation is part of an agreement between Euroline and PNOE made on December 29, 2000. Through this agreement, the total amount of EUR 608,552 has, to date, been raised for for the Association's purposes.

With this amount, equipment has been purchased for the Larissa University Hospital, as well as medical devices for intensive care units of state hospitals throughout the country.

"PNOE – Friends of Children's Intensive Care" was founded as a non-profit association in 1991 by parents, pediatricians and friends/volunteers.

In Greece, approximately 4,000 children per annum need to be hospitalised in intensive care units.
