Alpha Bank is the exclusive Sponsor of the Shipping Golf Cup 2008, the first golf tournament among shipping firms

Alpha Bank further asserts its dynamic presence in the field of sports, by exclusive sponsoring the Shipping Golf Cup 2008, the first golf tournament among shipping firms. The tournament, organised in the context of the Poseidonia celebrations, will take place on June 1, 2008, at the Glyfada Golf Club “Konstantinos Karamanlis” under the auspices of the Glyfada Golf Club of Athens and with the support of the Glyfada Golf Course.

The Bank, a leading lender to the shipping industry and an active supporter of both ocean-going and cabotage Greek shipping, has decided to sponsor this significant event for the national golfing community, conceived and organised by Paralos Creative. Major shipping firms from Greece and abroad will be the main competitors of the tournament following the Stableford (shot gun) one-day format.

Those who wish to participate may register online at www.sgc2008.gr until May 25, 2008. The maximum number of participants is 130. A ceremony will conclude the tournament during which the winners will be presented with trophies and all participants will receive commemorative gifts.
